This time recipe, surprisingly I found from Slovenian Cook book. Yes, Slovenia, country in Balkan close to Hungary and Italy, The cook book named Culinary Slovenia. I bought this book during our visit to Ljubljana castle at Ljubljana. Ljubljana is capital of Slovenia. Before this summer, I never thought about those country, moreover to hear and spell Ljubjana on the correct way. But once I step on those city and see around the centrum (city center), I was directly fall in love with those city, Ljubjana. The only one night plan for stop over before back to France, become two nights. Even we need to change hotel and carry on the bagages, it Worth to the max. Definitely I will be back again. So, the original recipe from the book called Ham Noodles, or Rezanci s sunko in Slovenia. The s should have mark "v"on the top, but I can not found it on my keyboard (LOL). Since I add bacon beside ham, we can say that my recipe in Slovénie will called Rezanci s Sunko s Slanina or Ham & Bacon Noodles. Rezanzi = Noodles, Sunko = Ham and Slanina = Bacon in Slovenia. Thanks for Google translator :) Beside bacon, I also change the pasta used from original recipe. Because I do not have fettuchini or tagliatelli, I use spaghetti pasta instead. Beside that I reduce quantity of ingrédients, due to I only cook for two persons. So, here is the recipe .. Ingrédients (for 2 persons) : - 100gr ham - 100 gr bacon - spaghetti pasta for 2 persons (if you have, you can use fettucine or tagliatelle pasta like original recipe) - 1 egg - 1tbsp olive oïl - 1lt water - 1tbsp dry parsley (or you can use fresh parsley, like original recipe) - salt & ground pepper Preparation : - Break the egg and lightly beaten. Put separate. - Using sauce-pan, cook pasta on 1lt salty water with a bit of oïl until well cook (around 10 minutes). After pasta well cooked, keep around 100 - 125cl water from water used for cook pasta, then drained the pasta and put it separate. How to Cook : - Using frying pan, cook ham and bacon with olive oïl until well cook and crisp. - Add water from cook pasta, pasta, egg, salt, Pepper and 1 up to 2 tbsp water to make egg more creamy. - Stir and cook until egg harden. - Add dry parsley before serve it. Bon Appétit ! At first I thought it will be like Carbonara sauce on pasta, but apparently, the eggs should be really well cook, thus more and like Noodles just like the name of the recipe. In Indonesia we call it Bakmi goreng special (special means using eggs), but it was not completely like bakmi goreng because not use soja sauce.
So, perhaps that it is, in between Italian and Asian, for Slovenian food. At last and again, I assure you, whenever you have time, please visit this country, perhaps you will love it like I do, both food and ambiance. (/fin)
