At first I just want to make purée, but then I was confuse which protein I should use for the main course dishes. Thus, I ended browsing on Google and search any kind recipe that can inspired me to cook from ingredients potatoes and porc meat. I ended up with recipe called Pork & potato Supper Recipe. I do not know how they make it more colourful, but mine is ended a bit sticky and gloomy. Perhaps if I use fresh mushroom and green onion, the colour of the dishes more tempting. Well, my husband give point 4 out of 5 for my cook, thus I think not so bad at all for someone who can not cook.

My recipe this time is using macaroni, or in France we call it coquillettes. I should name it Coquillettes Beef and Cheese actually, because I use coquillettes that I brought from France. But I prefer to call my recipe is Macaroni Beef and Cheese, because the idea I got from googling macaroni recipes. The thing that I like from this recipe, is because it doesn't need oven at all. As you know, we do not have oven or grill at home at Jakarta, thus to have macaroni recipe without oven is something that I adore a lot. Here we go ... When you have many eggs in your refrigerator, you may think to make frittata. So do I, at the beginning, but then I have an obstacle to do that. We have no oven to bake here, just a microwave. Thus another thing that crossed on my mind is to make Carbonara pasta. This time I googling and get inspired by recipe from Jamie Oliver. His recipe called Beautiful Courgette Carbonara. He use penne, but I choose to use spaghetti insted. With adjustment here and there, here's my recipe ... My recipe today inspired by the variant of Indomie that I used to eat when I was a little. For those who doesn't know, Indomie is a ready to cook noodles brand that really famous not only in Indonesia but also abroad. Why I can say that, because eventhough many new brands come and go, this brand is stick on people mind. Just like when people say "Honda" for motorcycle (eventhough the brand was not Honda), or "Aqua" for mineral water, people tendency call "Indomie" for fried noodles. I can tell as well that thos brand famous abroad, because many Indonesian who live abroad can not stand not to buy it. I remember one of my cousin, who come to Paris to renew her passport, she bring 1 small bagage, empty, special to buy Indomie at Indonesian Embassy in Paris. |
