I know that I already post once about nasi goreng or fried rice. But I think i never post the one with lardon / pork and carotte. Well, nasi goreng can be cook with different ingredients. Today menu is Bubur Ayam. Bubur ayam is one of the traditional dishes in Indonesia. It was origin Chinese, but since long time ago already adapted and become one of traditional food in Indonesia. You can easily found bubur ayam whenever you go around Indonesia. The food bubur ayam, you can found on the street staal, the street food cart (we call it bubur ayam abang-abang. Remember, just like bakmi ayam abang-abang LOL) or until the chic and famous restaurant in the mall. The taste also have many variety. Sometimes I can tell that the best bubur ayam is the one selling on the street staal or street food cart. When I worked at chic and prestigeous Senayan office, one of my colleague and best friend, Lia, sometimes bring me some bubur ayam abang-abang in the morning that she bought close to Kalibata (the street food cart vendor passed by on the complex around I do not know what to name my dishes right now, so I just called it Nasi Goreng Jawa. Actually it is a normal fried-rice, without chicken or anything, just I add fried eggs and some chilli called Sambal Teri Kacang. Teri is a name of small fish that usually salty. Kacang is peanuts. This chilli I got from my auntie. She has doctor conference in Geneva and because she do not have Schengen visa, she can not visit us. Fortunatelly one of my cousine who live in Le Creusot can make to visit her during her daughter school Holiday. So, she sent it all to me, and I can enjoy this Sambal Teri Kacang. For those who can not support chilli, you can skip it, because even for Indonesian, I can tell it is really hot chilli. This is how if you do not have some of the ingrédients and come up with Something that nearly succeed. I said nearly succeed because with the same ingrédients I can make Risotto as well. This time recipe I found it from internet from goodhousekeeping, with the same title Stuffed Tomatoes with Lean Ground Beef. I have ground beef at home and some of tomatoes, so I search at Google with those two key words and found out this recipe. Eventhough I change some of the ingrédients, for example I use round tomatoes, better to use long tomatoes. Another thing that I change is instead using feta cheese, I use goat cheese (because no feta cheese at home), also there's no Panko, thus I use grated biscotte instead. My post this time will be related to another post that I will write after. This recipe only can show how to make Hainan Rice or in Indonesia we called it Nasi Hainan. I got the recipe from cookpad, and I change a bit because the original recipe called Nasi Hainan Rice Cooker, and use chicken to make it. I do not use chicken (except I want to cook Hainan Chicken Rice, which mean Hainan Rice plus Chicken). I have idea to cook this Hainan Rice because I want to mix it with vegetables that I will cook (it was not Asian style, eventhough my husband said so), but seems nice to eat it with Hainan Rice. |
