Today recipe is the food that I cook for our dinner tonight. So, yes, it was recent. The recipe inspired by recipe that I found from Ôdélices site Brocolis aux Lardons. Just because we are too hungry, I add pasta macaronis beside the brocoli. I use the brocoli that we just buy yesterday. Based on my experience, I can not let brocoli longer than 2-3 days after we bought it. You still can eat it but it less fresh. Eventhough with the weather like today. I mean, during winter, I let all the vegetables outside. We have small space outside our window, so I put several small box with vegetables Inside : tomatoes, zucchini, brocoli, etc. Still, like I said, more than 3 days for brocoli will be less fresh.

Today I want to share my birthday cake. Yes, my birthday cake. I have my birthday on last monday (yes this week), and I choose to make my birthday cake : Gâteau au Carotte or Carrot Cake. I love carrot cake. The first carrot cake that I get is when I stay overnight at Bandung, West-Java, Indonesia, at my friend's house. Her name is Valery, and her mom make us the really delicious Carrot Cake. Now she lived in Sydney and her mom already passed away. The carrot cake that I cook not from her recipe, but from some recipe I found out when I search in Google, and fall on inspired taste website. The original recipe from article Incredibly Moist and Easy Carrot Cake. I made it twice already from those recipe, and I change/add Well ..., it almost weekend everyone. Friday is the day that most of people wait, because it mean week-end approach. For me everyday mostly the same. Sometime a bit boring with activities that always the same everyday. Wake up, prepare breakfast, do some chores at home, cook, prepare for dinner, Watch television, and sometimes join some e-learning in IT or in Management that I can found free on the internet. Learn French too, also through internet. All Learning process I conduct while browsing for some jobs around (or post my CV on here and there company). Believe it or not, I even have excell file that record which company I post, when I post and when I've been rejected. Sounds like detail person, right ? Yeah, rite .. Today recipe inspired by several Ragù Bolognese recipe that I see from internet. I will not specify which one because I will mix all of them (hahaha). Moreover, the original recipe using carrot and other vegetables. Since my husband do not like carrot (and he still insist that sauce bolognaise with carrot it is like blaspheme), thus, I skip the carrot and make my own recipe. For pasta, I use special black spaghetti, or the name on the packet is Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia. It is normal spaghetti that mix with ink of cuttlefish that made black color on it. If you think it will be fish smell, you are wrong, It was not smelly at all, not even smell of sea water, This recipe is the change a bit from previous recipe that I made, Caprese Chicken. Now I use like original recipe, using cherry tomatoes and to have a bit beautiful, I add roquette salad after. This recipe become more and more our favourite meals at home. For me as well, because easy to cook and off course, delicious. I share already this recipe on my French blog boekankoki.fr and now I want to share again with you all .. Here we go .. |
