Today recipe is inspired by many apples I had at home. My mother in law gave us several apples, some already cooked to make Danish Apple and Prune Cake, and rest two actually, but then she gave me another apples (oh Noo ... ). Thus I should cook Something to make sure it was gone by the time she came again to visit us (LOL). So, I search on the internet (again) and found some recipe that I think I can follow, and voila, it was succeed. The original recipe come from another Food and Recipe Blogger Once upon a Chef, and this recipe with the same title French Apple Cake adapted by her recipe. What I add just to have some slice apples on the top just like my previous Danish Apple and Prune Cake, and I do not use Confectioners sugar,

This is how if you do not have some of the ingrédients and come up with Something that nearly succeed. I said nearly succeed because with the same ingrédients I can make Risotto as well. This time recipe I found it from internet from goodhousekeeping, with the same title Stuffed Tomatoes with Lean Ground Beef. I have ground beef at home and some of tomatoes, so I search at Google with those two key words and found out this recipe. Eventhough I change some of the ingrédients, for example I use round tomatoes, better to use long tomatoes. Another thing that I change is instead using feta cheese, I use goat cheese (because no feta cheese at home), also there's no Panko, thus I use grated biscotte instead. Mie Godog Tauge or I can translate it as Boiled Noodle with Bean Sprouts is one of Indonesian dishes. The original recipe actually called Mie Godog or sometimes called Mie Godog Jawa. (Jawa = Javanese in English). This recipe I made adapted from recipe Mie Godog Jawa from William Wongso, one of famous Indonesian's Chef that also well known in the world. I just found out that he will be one of exceptional judges for Master Boulangerie 2018 in France, so he is well known Chef in Indonesia and in the world and one of my favorite as well. I bought one of his book : "Flavors of Indonesia". It is an unique book, It is a simple menu to eat when you need to cook vegetables for your lunch/dinner. This time I do not refer any recipe, but just know that this combination will made a good wok or a good sauté. Not like usual, I cut all the vegetables (include onion) on big cut size, to make sure it still can be crunchy to eat (if you like), and as you know, I cook it not crunchy but well cook, because my husband like it like that. You can eat this Sauté Courgettes et Poivrons with just rice or with meat like steak or ribs. We eat it with pork ribs that we buy at the restaurant around the corner. So, here is the recipe ... This is what happen, when you got many fruit from your mother in law and do not have time to eat it all. Then you ended up to think and search idea what to made to avoid it wasted. This is what happen with all apples and prunes I had. Apple normally I make a juice, but how about prunes ? Salad de fruit also another alternative, but I want to make Something different. How about cake ? So, I search at the internet to have idea to make cake from apples and prunes. Apples have many recipes to offer, but prunes, not much. I ended up with website called Genius Kitchen, and this is their Danish Apple & Prune Cake that I adapted on my culinary condition .. |
