Today recipe adapted from the same name recipe that I found from internet. It comes from Recipe Tin Eats called Honey Garlic Salmon. I found this recipe when I Google how to cook Salmon another way. I mean usually I just fry the Salmon and sometimes eat it with pasta where I cook for make same sauce in pasta. Thus, without any change/sauce on Salmon is okay. But this time I want to serve it with rice, and make sauce on rice ? Well, not really tempting. So, I googling and search any kind recipe to make sauce for salmon, and I found this recipe. If she said it can cook for 15 minutes, well perhaps. But since I am a newbie thus I cook it for around 20 - 30 minutes. But it is really easy to make it. The ingrédients that needed also I have it (mostly), so I think it is a perfect recipe to try. And after, I think I will make it again real often. My husband said it was delicious, so it Worth to try it again next time. Ingrédients (for 2 persons) : - 2 fillet Salmon - 4tbsp Honey - 2tbsp soja sauce - 1tbsp citron juice - 2 up to 3 garlic - 2tbsp olive oïl - Salt & Pepper - dry chives - sesame seeds Preparation : - Peel garlic and cut it on minced and put it separate. - Using a small bowl mix Inside for sauce : honey, soja sauce, citron juice and minced of garlic. Whisk and mix them well. Put it separate. - Dry salmon with paper towel and sprinkle with salt and Pepper. Put it separate. How to Cook : - Using frying pan, pre-heat olive oïl for around one minute on medium heat. - Place salmon on the pan and cook each side for around 3 up to 5 minutes each side. - Pour mix of sauce over the salmon and make sure it well marinated, and cook again for another 1 up to 2 minutes. - If sauce is too thick, add 1tbsp water at a time (I add around 2tbsp water). - When salmon already well cook, take out from pan and served it on the plate. - Pour the sauce on top of salmon and sprinkle it with dry chives and sesame seeds. - Served it with rice or pasta or potatoes. Bon Appétit! I found out that if you want your sauce more sweet, you can add more honey. But I think for 2 fillet salmon, 4tbsp honey is sweet enough.
If you see the original recipe and mine, you will found out that I do not use white vinegar. Just because I do not like the smell of white vinegar. I prefer balsamic vinegar. Since she mention to not to use balsamic vinegar, then I searching on internet to know what ingrédients that I can use to replace white vinegar. It comes out that apple cidre and citron juice can replace the acid of white vinegar. Since I do not have apple cidre on stock, and just have citron, thus I made juice citron and use it to replace acid on white vinegar, and I am happy with it. So remember, to use whatever ingrédients that you have, and do not fall back just because you missed some of ingrédients. Try to find alternative to replace it, you might surprisingly have it at home. Bon chance. (/fin)
