One new habbit since I wrote this blog is I always wondering how the dishes cuisine/cook everytime I go to the restaurant. Like just yesterday, while waiting our "Resident Evil" movie on cinema, we eat at one of our favorite at Jakarta, called "Pancious". This restaurant specialize for (usually) pasta and pancake/waffle. I just notice that now they have new menu Burger. While my husband stick on his pancake everytime we eat there, me as well stick with Pasta, and the usual Pasta that I always order is called "Hot Tuna Pasta". It was spicy and my husband said that it was simple to make it. I thought so. Thus today I try to make Hot Tuna Pasta on my own recipe. Why I call my own, because I use whole meat pasta spaghetti (they use normal spaghetti) and beside the fresh chilli, I use dry chili, and not much, consider my husband not really support chilli. Last one, I do not know whether they cook again the tuna (my husband said they didn't), but in my version I cook it a bit. Not too long like when I cook Tuna Oglio Olio, but still I prefer to cook it rather than just directly use canned tuna. So, here's my recipe .. Ingredients (for 2 persons) : - Pasta spaghetti whole meat for 2 persons (you can use normal pasta too) - 150gr canned tuna flakes - 2 garlic - 2 tomate - 10gr chicken broth - Pepper - dry origano - dry parsley - dry red chilli (you can use fresh red chilli like in the restaurant) - dry basilic - 3tbsp olive oil - 20gr butter Preparation : - Peel garlic, pressed it and cut it on minced. Put it separate. - Wash tomate, and take out the top and the bottom of tomate, cut it on 4, then take out the seed inside. After, cut tomate on small cube shape. Put it separate. - If you use fresh red chilli, you wash the chilli, take out the top of it and cut it on small cube as well. In my case, I use dry chilli, thus I can skip this step. - Using sauce pan, cook pasta on hot boil water, and add chicken broth inside. Cook for around 15 up to 20 minutes, drained it but let a bit water broth inside, add a bit olive oil and put cook pasta separate. How to Cook : - Using frying pan, heat 2tbsp olive oil for 30 seconds. - Add garlic and for around 10 second add tuna flakes. Cook on small heat. - Add dry origano, dry parsley, dry red chilli (note : if you use fresh red chilli, you skip this step and add chilli together with the tomate), dry basilic and pepper. Mixed them well and cook for around 2 up to 3 minutes. - Add butter and while butter start to melt, turn of the heat, but let frying pan on the stove. - When butter all melted, add tomate and if you use fresh chilli; add fresh chilli as well. - Add 1tbsp olive oil inside and mixed them well. - Served pasta spaghetti on the plate and pour the mixed of tuna and tomate on top of it. - Served it. Bon Appétit! I think I cook tuna abit too long (around 5 minutes), that's why I suggest to cook it no longer than 3 minutes. And it served with as fresh tomate as possible, that's why you need to turn off the heat, but let the frying pan still on the stove to let the remaining heat to heating the tomate and red chilli. Unfortunately I do not have fresh red chilli at home. I think it's better using fresh red chilli.
Somehow, the picture of pasta at the restaurant is looks more nice (see the picture below), but I guarantee the taste of my Hot Tuna is delicious as well .. :) (/fin)
