At first I just want to make purée, but then I was confuse which protein I should use for the main course dishes. Thus, I ended browsing on Google and search any kind recipe that can inspired me to cook from ingredients potatoes and porc meat. I ended up with recipe called Pork & potato Supper Recipe. I do not know how they make it more colourful, but mine is ended a bit sticky and gloomy. Perhaps if I use fresh mushroom and green onion, the colour of the dishes more tempting. Well, my husband give point 4 out of 5 for my cook, thus I think not so bad at all for someone who can not cook. I hope you have the same thought like him. So, here is my Sauté Pomme de Terre et Porc. sauté = cook with butter, pomme de terre = potatoes and porc = pork. So you can guess, this is not halal food for my moslem friend. Sorry ... Ingredients (for 2 persons) : - 3 potatoes - 150gr pork meat - 1/4 white onion (bawang bombay) - 2 garlic - 20gr butter - 100gr canned mushrooom (if you have fresh mushroom, will be better) - 1 boullon cube/chicken broth around 7,5gr - 1 up to 2tbsp worcestershire sauce - 100cl water - 1 up to 2tbsp fresh cream - 1tbsp flour - Salt&Pepper - dry basilic - dry parsley Preparation : - Peel the potatoes, and cut it on half and cut it on sliced. Put it separate. - Separate half of chicken broth on the bowl and add 1tbsp flour and mixed them well. Put it separate. - Cut pork meat on sliced and put it separate. - Using saucepan, cook 1/3 portion of potato on salty boil water for around 35 up to 40minutes. Drained it and put it separate to make purée. How to Cook : How to make Purée/Mashed potatoes : - Use 1/3 portion of cooked potatoes to make purée/mashed potatoes. - After the potatoes well cooked, crushed it using tools for mashed potatoes or using fork. I using fork instead. - After potatoes crushed well (no grand chunk or clod), add fresh cream inside and mixed them well. - Add dry parsley. - If you want, you can add a cheese on your mashed potatoes. Mine is enough without cheese (no chees at home as well at the moment :p ) How to make Sauté Pomme de Terre et Porc : - Using frying pan, heat half of butter (10gr) on low heat until it melted. - Add sliced pork and pepper, and cook again until pork well cook. Take out from pan and put it separate. - Using the same pan, add the remaining butter (10gr), until it melyed. - Add sliced mushroom and cook again until mushroom is tender. - Add minced garlic and sliced of onion and cook again around 1 minute. - Add 2/3 portion of potatoes, half dissolved of chicken broth (around 25cl), worcestershire sauce and pepper and bring it to a boil. - Covered the pan and cook again for around 10 up to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. - Add in mixed of half of chicken broth and flour inside and stir in well, add little of little water inside so that sauce thickened but not too thick. - Add the cooked of pork meat inside and stir again around 2 minutes. - Turn off the heat and add dry basilic stir them well again. - Add dry parsley for garnished and served it on the plate together with purée/mashed potatoes on the side. Bon Appétit ! You may ask why I add mashed potatoes as a side for dishes with potatoes. Well, at the beginning because my husband insist to have a bit mashed potatoes, but at the end, the taste of mashed potatoes can be neutralized the salty taste on the dishes. Eventhough I do not add salt on my dishes except for boil potatoes. I hold on the saltiness from chicken broth instead. That also why I do not add another cheese.
You can try and give me comments if anything I can made for improvement. à tout suite! (/fin)
