Today's recipe that I want to share is recipe Poulet Basquaise. This is the second time I try the recipe. The first one ran well, but I forgot to write it directly on my blog, thus, I forgot. This time, I try not to forget to write it, eventhough delay 2-3 days, because I wrote it first on my french blog boekankoki.fr, then to this blog. This recipe inspired me, after saw one show on the television called TOP CHEF. It is a television program here in France for several Chef who compete each other to gain the trophy and the title to be a TOP CHEF. On one of the episode of TOP CHEF, all contestan need to cook Poulet Basquaise recipe from the Chef Hélène Darroze. When I watched it, I got inspired to try it one day. Thus, I search on internet and found several recipe of Poulet Basquaise.

Today recipe is the food that I cook for our dinner tonight. So, yes, it was recent. The recipe inspired by recipe that I found from Ôdélices site Brocolis aux Lardons. Just because we are too hungry, I add pasta macaronis beside the brocoli. I use the brocoli that we just buy yesterday. Based on my experience, I can not let brocoli longer than 2-3 days after we bought it. You still can eat it but it less fresh. Eventhough with the weather like today. I mean, during winter, I let all the vegetables outside. We have small space outside our window, so I put several small box with vegetables Inside : tomatoes, zucchini, brocoli, etc. Still, like I said, more than 3 days for brocoli will be less fresh. Today I want to share my birthday cake. Yes, my birthday cake. I have my birthday on last monday (yes this week), and I choose to make my birthday cake : Gâteau au Carotte or Carrot Cake. I love carrot cake. The first carrot cake that I get is when I stay overnight at Bandung, West-Java, Indonesia, at my friend's house. Her name is Valery, and her mom make us the really delicious Carrot Cake. Now she lived in Sydney and her mom already passed away. The carrot cake that I cook not from her recipe, but from some recipe I found out when I search in Google, and fall on inspired taste website. The original recipe from article Incredibly Moist and Easy Carrot Cake. I made it twice already from those recipe, and I change/add Today recipe already cook on December last year, but I just have time to share with you all today. This Tomates Farcies recipe I made by one of my cook book that I had with title GRAND CLASSIQUES : Premiers Pas from Hachette Cuisine. Yes, is a French book (LOL). That book been given for me from my mother in law. Inside there're many recipe that I already try as well. I forgot which, but some. This recipe a bit similar with the recipe Stuffed Tomatoes with Lean Ground Beef that once I made (you can found the recipe as well on my blog link above). But, a bit different. If you ask me, even this recipe a bit difficult for me to follow, I prefer this recipe because less complicated. But since I have several egg plant (aubergine) at home, and you may know that I do not like Aubergine, thus I try to think about how I can cook (and eat it) willingly. Thus I came up with idea to make pasta bolognaise with aubergine. Another thing to change that I use macaroni, instead of usually spaghetti or fetuchini pasta. Still, you can use spaghetti or fetuchini if you like. I just a bit bored with long pasta, thus I use macaroni instead. And the result, I can eat aubergine without hesitation :) So, here is my recipe .. |
