There's Nothing that satisfy more yourself to begin the year 2018 than posting your first made cake in 2018. Yes, after a bit dissapear at the end of 2017 (I do not post anything on December 2017). Not because I do not cook, but just because I have no time, and my time consume to prepare the festive Christmas, okay .. beside submit my resume here and there and wait for the result from the last interview that I had. Apparenty 2017 is not yet my year, and I close the year without any success on being accepted on the job.. I do not said find a job, because I found one or two jobs I really want, but helaas .., I've been rejected. Thus, to start the new year 2018, I start to make Apple Cake or Gâteau aux Pommes. This recipe more and less almost the same like my French Apple Cake recipe that I posted months ago. I just add eggs more, Rhum more (hahaha, not because alcoholic, just because it good) and fine icing sugar on the top (so my cake is a bit more cute than the previous one). And I cook it during my mother in law staying at our house. So, she taste it and said , "Hmmm ..., C'est très bon".. or I can translate it "It was really delicious". Well, she definitely a really cook just like my mom, thus I believe her and it makes me proud. So, let's begin ... Ingrédients (for 6 persons) : - 3 apples - 3 medium eggs - 125 gr flour - 130 gr sugar - 110 gr butter - 1 tea spoon vanila - 1 tea spoon baking powder - 1/3 tea spoon salt - 3 tbsp Rhum - some sugar for topping - some cinnamon for topping - some fine icing sugar for topping - some butter and flour to smear the pan (or you can use cooking paper instead) Preparation : - Peel 2 apples and take out the seed, and cut it on small cubes around 1cm each. Put it separate. - Peel 1 apple and take out the seed, the cut it on sliced. Put it separate. - Break the eggs on the bowl. Put it separate. - Smear the pan diameter 20cm with butter until all surface covered, then smear it with flour until all surface covered. Put the pan separate. - On small bowl, mix all the dry ingrédients : flour, baking soda and salt. Mix them well and put it separate. - Pre-heat oven on 180 oC around 10 - 15 minutes. How to Cook : - On big bowl, add butter and sugar Inside. Mix them well using hand mixer on medium speed for around 3 minutes. Use spatula to put in the side of the batter to make sure it mix well. - Add eggs one by one while continue to mix the batter and bring the batter on the side to mix well using spatula until all eggs added. - Add vanila and rhum and mix them well again. - Slow down the speed of mixer to slow speed and add the dry ingrédients Inside little by little (on 3 up to 4 phase), while continue to mix the batter and make sure all mix well with hand mixer and spatula until all dry ingrédients put Inside. - Then turn off the mixer, and add the apples cubes Inside the batter while continue to mix it well with spatula until all well mix. - Pour the batter on the pan (diameter 20cm) that already smear with butter and flour. Make it flat using spatula. - Put the sliced of apple on top of it on the shape of circular (or any kind of shape you want) until all surface covered. - Smear sugar on top of it. - Smear cinnamonn on top of it. - Put pan on the oven and cook on 180 oC for around 75 up to 90 minutes or until cake well cook ( I cook it for 90 minutes with my old oven). - Take cake out of oven and take it out from the pan (I use pan that have side lock, so I just need to open the side lock and take out the side of pan. - Smear the cake on top with fine icing sugar. - Serve it while it warm. Bon Appétit! Well, I can tell you that in December I cook several dishes, some repetitive from the dishes that I already post on this blog, but some are more increase level. I mean I made some improvisation from my original recipe and get the new recipe to share.
So, despite I still looking for job, you can count on and stay tune on my blog to get some easy to make recipe. Off course it was easy stuff, because I made it for people who can not cook.
