This recipe is a bit similar with the previous recipe that I wrote : Soupe aux Asperge, Carotte et Mais. It's familiar with the name Sup Asparagus Kepiting or Soup Crab Asparagus. This time I have canned crab to make my soup. This dishes I can cook without reading the recipe (more and less). Just like Spaghetti Bolognaise and Nasi Goreng. What made this post a bit special, if you notice, I use another handmade ceramic we made during our visit to Jakarta. This time the bowl is handmade by my husband. He made bowl of soup with glossy white colour as a base and blue around. As you see, it made using mould but to finish and make it shape we use our own hand. You can remark handmade ceramic a bit asymethric on the texture and the shape. That's the beauty of it. I inform again, whenever you visit Jakarta, Indonesia for a month or more, and want to try to learn basic of creating handmade ceramic, do not hesitate to visit my friend, Haryo ceramic workshop at Jl Pusa 5, Central Jakarta. Workshop open from Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) from 9am to 12pm. It really Worth. I assure you. So ..., back again on my recipe, here it is .. Ingrédients (for 2 up to 4 persons) : - 3 carrots - 1 onion - 1 up to 2 garlic - 150 - 200gr canned asparagus - 125 - 150gr canned crab - 1 cube chicken broth - 100gr butter - Salt & Pepper - dry Parsley - 1- 1.5lt water Preparation : - Peel carrots and cut it on long cubes 0.5-1cm long. Put it separate. - Peel onion and cut it on sliced. Put it separate. - Peel garlic and cut it on minced. Put it separate. - Cut asparagus on long cubes around 2cm long. Put it separate. How to Cook : - Using frying-pan pre heat butter on medium heat. - Add garlic and cook again for around half minute. - Add onion and cook again until onion well cook. - Take out the onion and put it separate. - Using sauce-pan, cook water and add carrot Inside. - Cook until water boil and carrot well cook. - Add cooked onion, asparagus, crab, chicken broth and Pepper. - Cook and taste it, if needed you can add salt & Pepper again. - When soup almost ready, add dry parsley Inside. - Serve the soup while it's hot Bon Appétit ! I can tell that this is soup for Asian people, why ? Because people here in France usually made soup with blender. So, they made like carrot/zucchini/brocoli that boil cook in the water, then blend it and make a creamy soup. If you ask me, I prefer to make soup like Asian people (not blend it like creamy soup). I know it is not common here, but for me more easy and more fast to made.
