Hello February ! It is a month of love for some persons who celebrate Valentine's day. Me myself only once celebrate it. Long time ago when I still in junior high school and attend the valentine's paty bash. After, just prepare chocolate for senior in high school during 1st year there. After that, 14th February is like just another day. Same day, same activities. I just think it was nice to use mold of cake on form of heart. Moreover my other round mold, still have issue everytime I used it. So, this mold I think is perfect to start the February. This recipe as well gave by my mother in law. She as well found it from site Cuisine Actuelle, and send it me the link. I thought it is more easy than my other recipe Gâteau aux Pommes or French Apple Cake. Apparently I was wrong. The ingrédients more and less the same, but it was more difficult (I think), because we separate the yellow eggs with the white. So, when I mix it, it was really hard. Or maybe I do not need to use hand mixer. But I think with hand mixer it will be more easy (a bit) and less effort (a bit) to mix it. The taste of this cake also less sweet than the other recipe that I tried. Still, it was delicious. The original recipe called Gâteau aux Pommes Moelleux et ultra rapide, means Soft Apple Cake and really fast (to bake) if I translate it in English. Well, ultra rapide ? Right (LOL). Bon Appétit ! Like I mention above, this cake I found less sweet than the other Apple Cake that I already tried : Gâteau aux Pommes and French Apple Cake. But still delicious. Just to enjoy it, better to enjoy while it warm with a cup of tea or a cup of coffee. When the next day I want to enjoy it, I need to pre-heat it on the microwave around 30 seconds (not more).
The original recipe using citronne to avoid apple getting black after it cut it. But I found out it still okay as long as you do not let it more than half day. So, I do not use citronne. This cake is really good to enjoy in the time like today, where everyday is rain and rain around all the France. I even a bit dissapointed, that I can not enjoy the super moon phenomenome that just happen at the end of January. While all my friends in Indonesia can have it and take a picture and post it on social media. All picture are beautiful. Never see moon so red like that. Last night when I open the window, outside only dark, windy and rain. So, instead of chasing supermoon, I let enjoy the drink, watching television and eat this cake. I hope you enjoy my blog recipe.
